The tale Of Autopass

On 31,December,2019 the WHO was informed of cases of unknown causes In Wuhan City.Since then to this date the world has been numbed by this pandemic which was named Covid-19.The first ever covid case was identified on 8 March,2020 in our country.The number has only been risen to this date. The JHU CSSE Covid-19 data shows that around 1.05 million people have been affected in our country where deaths count to 16842. The data also shows that the number of deaths by this pandemic is 4.05 million around the globe which increased the death rate of 2017 up to 15.9% in 2019.How ever the leaders from all around the world have been giving different kinds of restrictions and shutdowns almost in each and every country.A shutdown was also imposed by our government from 26 march to 4 april in 2020 for the very first time.The people of our country have seen curfew before but a shutdown or lockdown and that too for a disease was too new at that time for us.As a consequence all kinds of educational institutions were also ordered to be closed.The shutdown was given before just a week or so of our H.S.C examination.It was a very complex feeling at that time for all of the candidates of this examination including me as it is one public exam that is thought to be directly connected with our future plans.Hence, the result of this examination also is important to get admit for undergraduate programs in all the prestigious universities of our country.But to be frank, we all were happy as we thought that we could get some extra time for revising.There were also rumors surrounding the extension of lockdown.As I was living in my college hostel I was happy to be back in my home.All of my friends and me returned to our houses.The lockdown was later extended from 4 April to 30 May.All kinds of educational institutions were ordered to be closed from 18 March to 31 March but it did never open to this date as it was not safe to do classes in classroom.But In the meantime our ministry of education have introduced remote education system in all kinds of educational institution in the medium of television telecast,radio and different kinds of online platforms for the students of primary level to post secondary level.And this was the scenario of the students of the whole world.Every where the only way to get education was the distant education.

So I returned home on 22 March 2020 safely.I was happy to be among my family on these tough time where everyday people were dying and getting infected.People from all over the world was getting infected by this horrible global pandemic.Me and my family was staying in home.I was passing time by revising my syllabus of H.S.C. The date of calendar was passing by but the scenery outside home was even getting worse.But after 2-3 months it was the same thing i was doing everyday.It was very tedious and boring.Studying the same thing over and over made me feel dull.And in the mean time,there was also no news of rescheduling our examination.So, I started watching Some movies and reading fictional stories just to pass the time as i was not going out of home.And after 7 and half months on 7 october Our honourable Education minister declared about the autopass.We all were happy at that time as at least there is some news and we also don't have to give the exam in this tough situations.The seniors were giving their opinions on our autopass.The juniors didn't seem to be happy either.The news become the talk of centre in the country.Some people were in favour with it and some were not.But being candidate I was overwhelmed as I was not in the table for couple of months.And I think in that time most of the candidates of HSC 2020 exam were feeling the same as like me.There was around 1.4 million HSC exam candidates in 2020.But we were all proven wrong on 30 january 2021 when the result was published.The result was given the basis of Our SSC examination and JSC examination.And It was not what we thought would be as many of our friends worked hard for two years to get a better result than they did in SSC exam.But many students also got GPA 5 in every subject.Everyone was passed in the exam.Total 161807 students got GPA 5.Where the number was 41807 in HSC 2019.So there was both ups and and downs of the method of this result.There was critics in good and bad way of the whole process of autopass.In the meantime we started taking preparation for our admission in undergraduate programs.But due to the Auto pass result many of us are being ruled out of giving exams in Some prestigious universities of our country.Who can they blame?But again due to the corona virus pandemic our admission exams were postponed later.Many candidates got themselves admitted in private universities.(You can also check this:Big Freeze,Rip or Crunch:How will the universe end???) Now there is no resilience left for further delay.Our family member have also lost their cool.And to add there is also the mocking of the people around us on being given autopass.Is it really us to be mocked for?I often ask myself this question and every single time I am unable to answer.We HSC batch 2020 have been labeled as something unorthodox in a bad way for the rest of our life.But is it what really we deserve?This question is for everyone out there who see us in a different way.And there is also the fear of suffering in the long run in the job sectors for getting autopass.It was the circumstance that led us to this time.No one of us deserved it in any way.I don't know what lies above was in the future.All I hope that whatever there is in the future it is not dictate by this result which we are a victim of.The government and the ministry of education have done whatever they could do in these circumstance.Sometimes I think of a day without this virus.Had it would not be a issue,we all have been now in a varsity.How ever, times are now changing bit by bit. Vaccines have been introduced globally to fight this pandemic.The People in power and executive level should now think unorthodoxly to protect our students and education by elaborately changing the system.If we can change our mass literacy and overcome our shortcomings in the system it wont take much longer as one day our education system will be acknowledge by the whole world as in the 5 century when Bengal was in limelight for Nalanda University.We cannot do it overnight we have to go through a master plan to change it step by step as we all want to be the part of the light of dawn of our education system. as we all want to be the part of the light of dawn of our education
